1. Personal data

I, Prof. Dr. Gernot Stöglehner, collect, process and use your personal data only with your consent or commissioning for the purposes agreed with you or if there is another legal basis in accordance with the GDPR, and in compliance with data protection and civil law provisions.

Only such personal data is collected that is necessary for the implementation and processing of my activities as a consultant, researcher, author and speaker; or that you have provided voluntarily.

Personal data are all data that contain individual details about personal or factual circumstances, for example name, address, email address, telephone number, date of birth, age, gender, video recordings, photos.

2. Disclosure and cancellation

You, as a person concerned, have the right to be informed about your personal data stored, its origin and recipient and the purpose of the data processing as well as a right to correction, data transfer, objection, restriction of processing and blocking or deletion of incorrect or impermissibly processed data.

If there are any changes to your personal data, I ask you that you notify me accordingly.

You have the right to withdraw your consent to the use of your personal data at any time. Your input for information, deletion, correction, objection and/or data transfer – in the latter case, provided that this does not cause disproportionate effort – can be addressed at me.

If you believe that my processing of your personal data violates the applicable data protection law or that your data protection claims have been violated in any other way, you can complain to the responsible supervisory authority. In Austria, the Austrian Data Protection Authority is responsible for this.

3. Data security

The protection of your personal data takes place through appropriate organizational and technical precautions. These precautions relate in particular to the protection against unauthorized, illegal or accidental access, processing, loss, use and manipulation.

Regardless of the efforts to maintain a requisite care, it cannot be precluded that information that you provide to me via the Internet may be viewed and used by other people.

Please note that I therefore assume no liability whatsoever for the disclosure of information due to errors in data transmission not caused by me and/or due to unauthorized access by third parties (e.g. hack attacks on email accounts or telephones, interception of faxes etc.).

4. Data use

I will not process the data made available to me for purposes other than those covered by the consulting contract or by your consent or otherwise by a provision in accordance with the GDPR. Exceptions to this are the knowledge gained from the contractual relationship, which may be used in anonymous and abstract form for science, research, publication, presentation and teaching.

5. Notification of data breaches

I try to ensure that data breaches are detected early and, if necessary, immediately reported to you or the responsible supervisory authority, concerning the respective data categories that are affected.

6. Storage of data

I will not keep data longer than is necessary to fulfill my contractual or legal obligations and to defend against any liability claims.

7. Server-Log-Files

To optimize this website in terms of system performance, user-friendliness and the provision of useful information about my services, the website provider automatically collects and stores information in so-called server log files, which your browser automatically transmits to me. This includes your Internet protocol address (IP address), browser and language setting, operating system, referrer URL, your Internet service provider and date/time.

This data is not combined with personal data sources. I reserve the right to check this data retrospectively if I become aware of specific indications of illegal use.
